Each floor has a spacious living area with comfortable seating, a TV, and a dining table where you can share meals with your loved ones. You'll find the main kitchen on the ground floor, while the second floor has a kitchenette for your convenience. Guests can soak up the breathtaking beach views from the lower-level patio or upper-level balcony, both appointed with seating.
There are two primary bedrooms, each with a premium King bed and a private bathroom complete with gorgeous vanities and walk-in showers. Fabulous location and great property manager response team

First, the location, view, and indoor and outdoor spaces of The Big Yellow House put it in a class by itself. That said, if you read through a number of the previous reviews, you will see comments on the age of the house and subsequent wear and tear. Remember that a home suitable for large groups will always suffer some consequences. But I cannot praise highly enough the response of the rental management team to our questions and needs. I have never before rented from a company that provided a 7-day-a-week call response or done so in such a professional, swift, and friendly manner. Five stars for service, most certainly! Yes, a few things were worn. But the deck had recently been repaired and supplied with colorful new Adirondack chairs. The pool was clean and refreshing. I did not think I would like a covered pool--but it was perfect for morning workouts before hitting the beach and a nice respite after a long day in the sun. We much appreciated the privacy after dark. And the new keyless lock on the front door was a nice upreview_date! The spotless house, cold refrigerators, excellent ice makers, efficient air conditioning, and plentiful hot water and water pressure provided guest comfort. Eight adult women, four bathrooms, you do the math! Beautiful flooring with wide-plank stairs transitioning between levels ensured safety for this mobility-challenged person. Spiral staircases did not prevent our enjoyment of the top two floors and that incredible view. You can enjoy your stay on the first floor and leave the spiral staircases to the spryer guests! A fully equipped first-floor kitchen provided all gadgets and appliances and a full complement of serviceware. As a former working chef, I packed my car with a mobile kitchen and found that the only things I needed all week were my iron skillet for Taco Night and my chef knives because, you know, a former chef! It will not hurt to bring an additional saute pan if you feel you will be cooking four-burner meals. A recommendation for those who cook: the galley kitchen space downstairs is well-planned, but take 15 minutes when you arrive to go through the vast array of cabinets and drawers and organize things the way you want them to ensure comfortable and efficient food prep. We worked easily with four adults cooking and prepping at once. There are multiple small appliances. Take the second coffeemaker and a hot-water kettle to the upstairs kitchen along with a complement of mugs, cutlery, glasses, plates, etc. There is a dishwasher for your convenience and a two-burner portable stove-top in a lower cabinet. Take advantage of the enormous upstairs kitchen island for cocktails/wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening to view the spectacular sunsets from the large balcony. The cons: the twin bedrooms could use new mattresses for more comfort. The ceiling fan in the downstairs TV area needs to be re-balanced or replaced. The TVs could use a reorganization of devices and wires or upreview_dated technology. There is not much you can do about spotty internet until the island service is improved. Remember unplugged vacations? Take a breath, sleep phoneless when service is down, or take your call out to the deck. You will look at the water and remember why you came to Anna Maria Island. And remember--call the rental company if you have questions or need anything such as lightbulbs or TV remote batteries. And take advantage of their concierge service. They will hook you up with the island's best. We look forward to our next visit!

Great Family Vacation

We had a lovely time in the Big Yellow House on Pine! Our family (me and my family, my sister and her family, and my parents) went for a family holiday vacation. My parents are older so having the house right on the beach was ideal. We all enjoyed breakfast on the deck every morning and being able to enjoy the sunset each evening from the house was perfection. Having separate areas was wonderful as my parents could be on the bottom level and the younger, more agile folks, were on the upper level. The furnishings could be upreview_dated and the kitchen is kinda small for the number of people that the house holds, but we were able to make it work for a week. We highly recommend this property.

One of the Best Views on the Island

Large house with space for 2 groups. Our son and friends stayed in downstairs original house and my wife and I stayed upstairs. We were able to work and sleep without being disturbed by our younger guests. 2 kitchen areas, but no stove / oven upstairs, only electric hot plate. Appliances, cooking utensils, and all TVs need updating. If you are at beach and outside all day, not a big deal. But we had cool weather and that resulted in more indoor time. I suggest new kitchen furnishings and stove upstairs. Overall, we loved the view and location, but disappointed in furnishings.
Jon, thanks for taking the time to let us know about your stay at The Big Yellow House. It is in a great location and hard to beat a beach-front home for a family vacation, but it is definitely a quaint cottage feel rather than a more modern home ~ we do rent those as well if that if more your style. I will be happy to pass along your suggestions to the owner for their consideration.
